I keep seeing (as I'm sure everyone is) New Orleans all over the news and I don't know what to say. It makes you feel helpless. And you read of people who really have the means to donate a huge chunk-Serena Williams will donate $100 for every ace she makes and Britney Spears sends "her prayers". Meanwhile, Britney Spears has more money in her back pocket than the total financial accumulation of everyone trapped in New Orleans' Convention Center and Serena Williams proudly sports a $40,000 necklace and ear ring set yesterday at the US Open. What are we coming to? Who are these people and why do we care about them? There are thousands trapped in dirty water and sewage without food or water. Could someone please tell them that Britney sends her prayers and Serena will send money if she does well in her tennis match.
